Ask About Stuyvesant High School

We
often make lesson plans which interest and motivate students the most to learn.
Games and competitions are my best instructional aids when we work with
children.
We always initialize a short
discussion with them on their instructional goals (short term and long term),
interests and hobbies at the beginning of tutoring. We set up timeline and progress chart
together and will check the progress every month to see where we are and how
much effort we have put into learning. In addition to textbook, I can pick
supplemental materials according to students’ interest to meet students’
individual needs the best.
We are not
just a learning center. Learning centers may help your child pass exams,
but they can not help your child stay or keep up with other top students. Why?
New York City Schools Chancellor Harold O. Levy stated many students make it to
top schools in New York City because students receive test training from these
learning centers, but many as 40% suffer when they enter. Why? These centers
claim they have the methods. The truth is that their classes are big and
students suffer because they do not have a solid foundation in all subject
areas. Do not let your children be just a test taker! You will set
them for failure!
Our Test
Prep classes enable children to take the New York City Board of Education tests
with greater confidence. Students learn to manage their time and strategize for
taking the test. They use practice tests to understand what the tests consist of
and how to tackle them. Our reading intervention program delivers tightly
sequenced, carefully planned lessons that give struggling students the structure
and practice necessary to become skilled, fluent readers and better learners. Most important: Your child will have a solid foundation. Parents are given information on how to help their
children do their best.
